ENAREDD workshop participants

Last Friday, September 18, in Mexico City, more than a 100 women from rural areas participated in the consultation forum for the National Strategy for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (ENAREDD+).

Through this construction process, ENAREDD+ expects to incorporate a gender perspective and to guarantee that the voices of women are reflected in this strategy.

The National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR) organized this forum, with the collaboration and participation of the National Institute of Women (INMUJERES) and the México REDD+ Alliance, as well as the technical support of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
