This guideline provides Contracting Parties, the Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands and other pertinent organisations with a series of key operational and practical entry points to enhance the mainstreaming of gender equality in the convention.

The author reflects on international agreements on gender equality, the levels of gender-based violence in Pakistan and the impact of climate change. Additionally, she makes a call for cross-sectoral collaboration to address GBV, including in efforts to combat climate change, to achieve development goals.
