In Uganda’s Katakwi and Bukedea Districts, Trocaire partnered with Land and Equity Movement of Uganda (LEMU) and Soroti Catholic Diocese Integrated Development Organization (SOCADIDO) to address women’s land rights as a part of the Resilient, Inclusive, and Sustainable Environments (RISE) grants challenge. Read the final project report to see how partners collaborated to address women’s denial of land rights, land grabbing from women, and lack of land rights documentation — and the physical and psychological violence they face in the attempt to access these rights while resolving 98 land conflicts.
