This briefing note summarises Shirley Lennon’s dissertation for a Master’s degree from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, which highlights the link between a lack of access to water and sanitation facilities and sexual violence against women within the context of urban slums in Delhi and suggests how this problem can be addressed.
