Tackling GBV in Natural Resources and Biodiversity Conservation in Stung Treng and Ratanakiri provinces (GBV-NRB Project) This project will embed gender-based violence (GBV) risk mitigation and safeguarding within ongoing conservation and natural resource management initiatives in Ninh Thuáşn, Tuyen Quang, and Quang Ngai Provinces, Vietnam. Building on long-term work by Fauna & Flora and the technical expertise of CSAGA, the project will strengthen institutional policies, build the capacity of conservation partners, and support community-level awareness, prevention, and response mechanisms. The initiative will focus on women’s empowerment, inclusive participation in conservation, and the integration of GBV risk mitigation into livelihoods, community patrols, and co-management structures, ensuring that conservation outcomes do not unintentionally increase risks for vulnerable groups.
Integrating Gender-based violence Risk Mitigation Measures in terrestrial Indigenous-managed lands of Tanganyika Province, DRCÂ This project will focus on the territories of Kalemie and Nyunzu, in Tanganyika Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. Tanganyika province is characterised by a strong dependence of indigenous Twa and Bantu communities on indigenous managed lands and forest lands. Women and girls in these locations face high GBV risks due to social norms that perpetuate inequitable access to land and forest resources.
